Your Donation will help Enrich the Experience of our After School Students
BYRAM ARCHIBALD NEIGHBORHOOD CENTER (BANC) AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM is a licensed after school program that dedicates itself to the surrounding community by nurturing children in their social and emotional growth and provides them with an opportunity to explore the world through education, play and interaction with other children. BANC strives to support education and decrease the achievement gap by providing educational enrichment programs such as: Greenwich United Way’s Reading Champions Program, Second Step, Homework help, Chess, Yoga, Swim lessons, Field trips to the Bruce Museum and Byram Shubert Library, etc.
Town of Greenwich Department of Human Services has been operating and overseeing the BANC program for over 40 years. In 2010, BANC became a State Licensed Childcare center offering a wide range of enrichment programs serving over 74 children from grades K-3 who reside in the Byram community and attend New Lebanon School.
The program is supervised by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and all staff complete State and DCF background checks and have completed the following trainings in: CPR, First Aid, AED, Emergency Medication Training and DCF Mandated Reporter Training.
Town of Greenwich Human Services Department provides BANC Afterschool care to residents who meet income eligibility guidelines. While there is no fee to attend the program, we do ask participants for a suggested donation of $75.00 per child per year to The Department of Human Services Foundation Fund, INC. Our ability to offer services to low income families is greatly assisted by receiving monthly donations.
Donations made to the Foundation provides assistance to Banc After School Program to purchase student t-shirts, supplies, snacks and supporting our many enrichment activities that help to enhance the children’s experience.
We appreciate your donation to the Human Services Fund, INC – for less than 50 cents per day it provides valuable resources to our programming
