Holiday Aid
Holiday Gift Cards
We are seeking monetary donations or $25 gift cards to Amazon, Target or Walmart. Gift Cards will be distributed to families, so that they can purchase clothing and/or toys for their children. The deadline for gift card donations is Friday, December 19, 2025.
They can be mailed to: The Department of Human Services, Attn: Holiday Aid Program, 101 Field Point Road, Greenwich, CT 06830.

Adopt a Family
Every child deserves the magical experience of unwrapping presents
during the holiday season! The Adopt a Family program is here to
spread joy by providing gifts to children and families served by the
Greenwich Department of Human Services (GDHS). Join us in
celebrating this festive time by making a direct impact on the lives of GDHS families facing financial challenges. Together, we can create
unforgettable moments of happiness and warmth this holiday season!
How the Adopt a Family for the Holidays Program works:

Eligibility Assessment: GDHS collects essential information to evaluate each family's eligibility for participation in the program.

Wish List Submission: Once a family is approved for support, they will complete a Holiday Aid Wish List form, detailing their specific needs and wishes for the holiday season.

Adopter Engagement: After families are matched with adopters, the latter will have access to the family's contact information and wish list. Adopters are encouraged to communicate directly with the families to address any inquiries, including those related to shipping or delivery.

Gift Delivery Deadline: All gifts must be delivered by December 16, 2025, to ensure timely distribution and enjoyment during the holiday season.
